Proanthocyanidins (PACs)

Proanthocyanidins (PACs) are bioactive compounds naturally found in high concentration in cranberries that prevent bacteria from sticking to body structures, including the urinary tract, preventing urinary tract infections (UTI’s). Those same compounds also prevent bacteria from adhering to teeth, promoting oral health and preventing cavities.

Vitamin C

A powerful antioxidant that blocks the damage caused by free radicals, and helps fight off infections. Sailors once carried cranberries on board with them to help fight off scurvy for this reason.


High fiber intakes are associated with significantly lower risks for developing coronary heart disease, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and certain gastrointestinal diseases. Increased fiber intake has also been shown to lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, improve insulin sensitivity, and enhance weight loss for obese individuals.


Evidence suggests the polyphenols in cranberries reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) by preventing platelet build-up and reducing blood pressure via anti-inflammatory mechanisms.

Vitamin E

A fat-soluble antioxidant involved in immune function that may help prevent or delay the chronic diseases associated with free radicals.
